As an executive producer and showrunner for KING 5 Seattle, Ruben helped increase audience numbers by expanding story topics beyond the predictable and experimenting with a new type of hyper-local news format.

Ruben’s biggest impact in local news was during the 23 years spent with L.A.’s KTTV Fox 11 News. He helped create “Good Day LA,” “GDLA Weekends,” “Studio 11 LA,” as well as various sports, investigative and news special projects. He’s helped teammates increase morning and nightside ratings from nothing to #1. And during the Fox 11 years, Ruben has helped to develop the careers of some of the most talented people still working to today’s news business.
